2015 Earthquake in Nepal

We were all shocked and saddened by the devastating earthquake in Nepal on 25 April 2015. Our company has a long history working in the country, and we are proud to have strong links with many current and former colleagues in the country.

Our resident Palladium country representative reached out to present and past Palladium project staff to identify immediate needs. We worked hard with volunteers and local partners to provide much- needed relief to 200 village households. We distributed immediate materials including essential shelter construction supplies, tarpaulins, mats, salt, soap, oil, and lentils to four villages in three districts, Kavre, Sindhpalchok, and Okhaldhunga. There, we also assisted with the renovation of schools and building of temporary houses for those who needed immediate aid. Our Urban Governance Team supported the design with local partners for a safe affordable housing project.

We worked through two local organisations, Foundation for Development Management and Middleway Communication. Both are well- known to our company from our many years working in Nepal.

Our in- country team was supported with logistics by our Operations Team based in Dubai. In London, our office led an appeal across Palladium to help previous and current colleagues in Nepal, while the Palladium Communications Team supported the outreach campaign internally and externally.

Staff and Palladium contributions amounted to $45,000, not including staff time.
